Imagination Station

In the book of Proverbs we read, “Where there is no vision, the people  perish.” (Proverbs 29:18 KJV) In other words, if you do not have a vision for your life, your ministry, or your future, you are dying inside.

I take a few minutes almost daily in my “Imagination Station,” which is a couch that I can sit by myself (and hubby knows not to talk to me!) I sit, think and write down everything that comes to mind. Earlier this year, while I was sitting in my Imagination Station, I heard, “Help writers and speakers.” After that day, the most amazing things started to happen and I began to feel that God was calling Shawna and myself to help writers and speakers. I don’t think I would have been so in tuned or followed through with God’s calling in such an obedient way if I didn’t hear those words that day in my Imagination Station.

I don’t want your future or ministry to die—I want them to flourish! Take five minutes and sit quietly to just imagine. You can do this daily, weekly or monthly. Put it on your calendar to remind yourself to sit, imagine and write down your vision.

  • Where do you want your life to be one year from now?
  • Where are the places you want to go?
  • What the events do you want to speak at?
  • What books do you want to write?
  • What do you want your legacy to be?

Get your creativity flowing!

Watch God work in your life and ministry!
